There’s a lot to pay attention to when learning to fly a Helicopter. They do a great job of breaking things down so they’re easy to understand. Also training at an airfield that’s in unrestricted air space means less distractions on the radio and a better learning environment.”

“We had a great experience with Platinum Helicopters. Jeff was our pilot. I assisted in a golf ball drop at a local golf course for a fundraiser. Closest to the hold wins. Jeff comfortably flew us in, guided us to above the hole, had patience while we threw 250 golf balls out the side of the helicopter. He got us home via the scenic route. I guess they all are from up there! Thanks, Jeff! Highly recommend Platinum!”

“I wanted to thank you for a great demo flight experience my son had last Tuesday. Yogev was our instructor and did a fantastic job. We first sat with him and he ask questions on why we were there and after explaining that my 17 year old son was interested in piloting a helicopter as a career, he tailor everything towards that mindset. We then went out to the hanger and again explained the workings of the R22, gauges, lights, levers etc. I didn’t realize how complicated it is to fly!!! After the safety discussion, my son was eager to go up. Yogev was very accommodating in putting a door on my son’s side and removing his. And off they went……upon return, and after the blades stopped turning, I hugged my son and ask how cool was that? Response – ‘Dad that was super cool!!!, it was sick!!! (teenager lingo). Yogev said he did great and took a few pics of us in front of the R22. My son is now totally hooked on becoming a helicopter pilot. Again, I wanted to thank you so much for this experience, it confirmed my belief and my son’s that this is the path he should take as a career. Yogev was great and very professional in his presentation and answering all questions. You run a class operation!”

“(Discovery Flight on 8/25/18)
I’ve been obsessed with helicopters since I was young, but never had the opportunity to fly one until I received a discovery flight as a gift. The overall experience was incredible. Their office is attached directly to their hangar, so you walk through the door and you’re standing right next to their Robinson helicopters. The instructor, Jeff, was professional, but also very easy going. He had no problem answering every question I had (I had a lot); you could tell he actually cared and was passionate about flying. It was a beautiful day out, and he gave me the option of flying with the doors on or off of the R22 (we did off). After taking off, I got to take control of doing some maneuvers, and even had the opportunity to try and hover (which was harder than he made it look). I talked to Jeff about my dream of flying, and he gave me a lot of great advice about getting a license and all of the opportunities there are.
The only issue I had was finding out where to go! You have to drive along the backside, and go down a small dirt road to go to the office. For someone who had never been to a small airport like that, it was a little intimidating driving next to the hangars because I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be driving there or not. All I had to do was call, and the directions were easily explained.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone with (or even without) a dream of flying to call and set up a discovery flight. You won’t be disappointed.”

I wanted to tell you the Helicopter Ball Drop at the Brookdale College outing at Eagle Oaks on was such a huge hit! Everyone lined up on the balcony and was so excited to first hear….then see the helicopter fly overhead then hover and drop the balls. It really was such fun!! Everyone is still talking about it. It helped us raise $XXXX ($XXXX was paid out to the winner). It really made our 40th Education Open very special. Sorry you couldn’t have stopped in for dinner with us!

“The entire experience was a combination of a movie and a fantasy, thanks to the entire team! The pilot was fantastic, such a professional – made us feel at ease for our first ever helicopter ride, answered every question we had along the way and made it a super fun experience.
