Skydiving out of a Helicopter from 5,000 feet
Don’t forget that Platinum Helicopters offers Skydiving, for experienced jumpers only, out of a Helicopter at around 5,000 feet! Here are some photos from our last group of jumpers on Sunday, April 24th into a private airfield in Pennsylvania. We took 11 different jumpers up in about 6-8 trips! We had a blast and the weather was perfect! Skydiving out of a Helicopter is a totally different experience than jumping out of a plane because when you jump out of a plane, the plane is moving forward as you jump therefor the jumper doesn’t get that free fall, roller coaster drop feeling in their stomach. When you jump out of a Helicopter, the helicopter is hovering steadily and still at 5,000 feet. You can climb down and hang from the helicopter skids any which way you like and then let go when you are ready. This gives the jumper a short, free fall, but it sure is thrilling and they experience that roller coaster drop feeling because the helicopter is not moving forward as they jump out. Pretty neat, huh? Hope these blue sky photos cheer you up on this gloom Thursday Morning!
